Recall Issued For Landscape Structures Due To Fall Hazard

by Sokolove Law

Landscape Structures Inc and the U.S. Consumers Product Safety Commission (CPSC) have issued a recall for a children’s playground slide that has an unforeseen fall risk.

According to the CPSC, the Slalom Glider has been recalled because it does not have a transition platform on the sides and top of the chute, which in turn increases the risk that children using it may fall when going from the ladder to the slide and when descending the chute.

The recall includes about 900 units that were sold to schools and other facilities with playground equipment throughout the U.S. between January 2006 and December 2011.

There have been reports of 16 incidents where children have suffered injuries such as a bruised spleen, broken legs, arms and a broken collar bone.
